COURSE WORK

Here are descriptions of several assignments you will have multiple times throughout the school year. Furthermore, I will also post semester project or exam assignments here as well. Unit Two: Appeals in Visual Rhetoric
This unit dives into the more subtle, or hidden, messages in rhetoric, especially when it comes to visual components. Visuals pop up often along side rhetoric; just pick up a magazine or log on to your favorite website. Eye-catching of course, these visuals serve an important role in supporting the rhetorical purpose. We are going to pay attention the hidden messages in rhetoric as we explore advertising and profiles in mainstream America, focusing on appeals to need, emotion, value and character.
